Cars
- Aftermarket Cars
Aftermarket Cars in Forza Horizon 6 are secondhand cars parked on driveways and roadsides across Japan, often discounted and sometimes modified or rare, that can be test driven and bought on the spot. A dealership by the Horizon Stadium in Shimanoyama changes its stock with each series.
- Barn Finds
Forza Horizon 6 has 15 Barn Finds, by PC Gamer's count, unlocked as rumors when players earn Discover Japan Stamps in the Collection Journal, mostly two per Stamp rank, from a Honda NSX-R GT to the Mazda 787B.
- Best Cars
There is no official best car in Forza Horizon 6; the published picks are opinions. Dexerto's tier list puts cars such as the GR GT Prototype, Koenigsegg Jesko, Pagani Huayra R and Mazda MX-5 Miata Forza Edition in its top tier, and names the 1989 Nissan Silvia K's the best starter car.
- Car Classes and Performance Index
Forza Horizon 6 rates every car with a Performance Index (PI) from 100 to 998 and groups them into seven classes, D, C, B, A, S1, S2 and R, the R class new for track cars. No X class appears on Playground's car list as of Nov 3, 2026.
- Car List
Forza Horizon 6 has 667 cars from 95 makes on Playground Games' published car list as of Nov 3, 2026, up from "more than 550" at launch on May 19, 2026. This page lists every one by manufacturer with its class, PI and how to get it.
- Car Pass
The Forza Horizon 6 Car Pass is 30 cars delivered one a week from May 19, 2026, $29.99 alone or included in the Deluxe and Premium editions and the Premium Upgrade. As of Nov 3, 2026, 28 are named, the last four arriving in November; on PS5 all 30 come at once.
- Cover Cars
Forza Horizon 6's cover cars are the 2025 GR GT Prototype, making its video game debut, and the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser. Both are in the Autoshow and Wheelspins for every player; the GR GT is S1 771 and the Land Cruiser C 456.
- Customization and Liveries
Forza Horizon 6 lets players change body kits, rims and paint and design liveries, now also on windows for the first time in the series; it adds over 100 new rims, gloss to matte finishes with metal flake and candy paints, and Paint Body (Advanced) since Sep 2026. Up to 252 vinyls import from Forza Horizon 5.
- Fastest Cars
The fastest car in Forza Horizon 6, by Red Bull's Jun 22, 2026 ranking of stock cars, is the 2012 Nissan GT-R Black Edition (R35) Forza Edition at 304.8 mph; without Forza Editions it is the Hennessey Venom F5 at 304.7 mph. Playground publishes no ranking of its own.
- Forza Edition Cars
Forza Horizon 6 has 19 Forza Edition cars on Playground's list as of Nov 3, 2026, cars "fitted with extreme modifications", from Wheelspins and the Festival Playlist, the Collection Journal, Aftermarket sales and VIP Membership. The 2012 Nissan GT-R Black Edition (R35) Forza Edition is the best known.
- Free Cars and Loyalty Rewards
Forza Horizon 6 gives free cars to every player: three starter cars, three at the first Wristband, ten Festival Playlist rewards each series, Series History Rewards and occasional gifts such as the 2021 McLaren Sabre. Owners of earlier Forza games get up to six loyalty cars, from a 2013 SRT Viper GTS to a 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE.
- Japanese Cars
Forza Horizon 6 lists 167 Japanese cars as of Nov 3, 2026, a quarter of its 667: Nissan 42, Toyota 38, Honda 30, Mazda 18, Subaru 18, Mitsubishi 14 and seven more. Every one is listed here by make with its class and how to get it.
- Treasure Cars
Forza Horizon 6 has ten Treasure Cars as of Nov 3, 2026: abandoned cars found from Mei's photo clues, one in each of nine regions at launch plus the 1970 Citroën 2CV added in Series 6. Found cars are restored and can be driven at once.
- Upgrades and Tuning
Forza Horizon 6 lets players upgrade parts, swap engines and tune any car they own, and share or download tunes; new this time are Forza Aero set per car and motorcycle engine swaps for kei cars. Drag Tires were reworked on Jun 15, 2026, and Series 6 and 7 added many engine swaps.
Events
- Drift Attack
Drift Attack is Forza Horizon 6's permanent drift arena at the Shimanoyama Circuit, added on Sep 7, 2026: drive through the gantry and score as many drift points as you can in one lap. It unlocks with the Yellow Wristband, and completing it in the Collection Journal gives the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition.
- PR Stunts
Forza Horizon 6 has five kinds of PR Stunt: Speed Traps, Speed Zones, Drift Zones, Danger Signs and Trailblazers, each rated in Stars. Every PR Stunt leaderboard was wiped on Nov 2, 2026 with the Series 7 update after score exploits were fixed; Journal items already earned were kept.
- Races and Event Types
Forza Horizon 6's official Festival events are Road, Dirt and Cross Country races, Time Attack Circuits, Drag Meets, PR Stunts and Bonus Boards, with Showcases and Horizon Rush as Wristband events and Street Races and Touge Battles in Discover Japan. Goliaths return, led by the Colossus on Legend Island.
- Showcases and Horizon Rush
Forza Horizon 6 earns each Wristband at a Wristband Event, either a Showcase or a Horizon Rush. The two Showcases are Mech My Day, a race against the giant mech Chaser Zero, and Flight Club, and Horizon Rush is a new timed obstacle course at Tokyo City Docks, Sotoyama Ski Resort and Irokawa Space Center.
- Street Races and Touge Battles
In Forza Horizon 6, Touge Battles are night races against one opponent down narrow mountain passes, and Street Races are night races with no class restrictions. Both are Discover Japan events, so they earn Stamps in the Collection Journal rather than Wristband progress.
- Time Attack Circuits
Forza Horizon 6's Time Attack Circuits are open-world tracks where you drive through a gantry and hot-lap for your fastest time, earning Credits and XP every lap. They range from road courses to offroad parks, include Hokubu and one on Legend Island, and add temporary circuits such as Edamame, back from Nov 5, 2026.
Festival
- Accessibility and AutoDrive
Forza Horizon 6 adds three accessibility features to the series, a customizable High Contrast Mode, Car Proximity Radar and AutoDrive, and keeps the earlier ones, from full controller remapping to a screen reader and color-blind modes. American and British Sign Language interpreters for cinematics arrived on Aug 10, 2026.
- Campaign and Story
In Forza Horizon 6 you arrive in Japan as a tourist with no fame, travel with friends Mei and Jordy, qualify for the Horizon Festival and climb seven Wristbands to become a Horizon Legend. A second path, Discover Japan, runs alongside it through the Collection Journal.
- Collection Journal and Discover Japan
The Collection Journal in Forza Horizon 6 tracks Discover Japan, the exploration path with seven Stamps from Yellow to Gold. Stamps come from collecting cars, photographing murals, smashing mascots, finding landmarks, Stories, Street and Touge Races and the Raku-Raku delivery job, and the Gold Stamp makes you a Master Explorer.
- Drivatars and Difficulty
Forza Horizon 6's AI racers are Drivatars, set by a difficulty level that runs from Novice up through levels such as Above Average and Highly Skilled. At launch they were often too fast at high difficulty; Playground rebalanced them on Jun 15, 2026 and cut AI collisions on Jul 13, 2026. Difficulty and assists can be changed at any time.
- Horizon Stories
Horizon Stories in Forza Horizon 6 are short side chapters, each usually a drive, a short cutscene and a three-star challenge, that feed Discover Japan. They include Day Trips around Japan, a Tokyo drift club and a story with photographer Larry Chen, and 81 Stars earn the Storyteller achievement.
- Skills, XP and Wheelspins
In Forza Horizon 6, driving Skills and events earn XP that raises your player level, Horizon Play has its own levels and badges, and Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins only start after you qualify for the Horizon Festival. Playground made spins rarer to earn and more rewarding than in Forza Horizon 5.
- Soundtrack and Radio Stations
Forza Horizon 6 has nine radio stations, Horizon Pulse, Horizon Bass Arena, Horizon Block Party, Horizon XS, Hospital Records, Gacha City Radio, Sub Pop Records, Horizon Wave and Horizon Opus, with what Playground calls the most tracks of any Horizon game. Gacha City Radio brings J-pop to the series for the first time, with YOASOBI, Ado and Creepy Nuts.
- Wristbands
Forza Horizon 6 has seven Horizon Festival Wristbands, earned in the order Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink, Orange, Purple and Gold. Each one raises the car classes you may race, and the Gold Wristband makes you a Horizon Legend and opens Legend Island.

Multiplayer
- Car Meets and Drag Meets

Drag Meets hold up to 12 players on three strips. Temporary meets come with the Festival Playlist, such as the 7-Eleven meet of Series 6.
- EventLab and Horizon CoLab
EventLab is Forza Horizon 6's creation tool for custom races, challenges and stunts, and it can now build anywhere in Japan, even in the sky. Horizon CoLab adds real-time multiplayer building for up to 12 players, a first for the series, and from Jan 26, 2027 EventLab creations are shared with PS5.
- Multiplayer
Forza Horizon 6 is online by default in a Shared World, with Convoys for groups, the whole campaign playable in co-op, and Horizon Play modes including The Eliminator, Hide & Seek, Touge Showdown, Spec Racing, Horizon Racing and Horizon Drift. Cross-play and cross-save cover Xbox, PC and, from Jan 26, 2027, PS5.
- The Eliminator
The Eliminator is Forza Horizon 6's open-world battle royale, a Horizon Play mode where the goal is to be the last driver standing. Playground switched it off in June 2026 over a Credits exploit and brought it back on Jun 18, 2026, giving every player a free McLaren.
