Treasure Cars

Forza Horizon 6 has ten Treasure Cars as of Nov 3, 2026: abandoned cars found from Mei's photo clues, one in each of nine regions at launch plus the 1970 Citroën 2CV added in Series 6. Found cars are restored and can be driven at once.

Forza Horizon 6 has ten Treasure Cars on Playground Games' car list as of Nov 3, 2026: abandoned cars that Mei, the player's car-builder friend, sends photo clues for, which the player then finds by exploring the map. Once found, a Treasure Car is restored and can be driven at once or added to the garage. Nine came at launch, one in each of nine regions, and the tenth, the 1970 Citroën 2CV, arrived with Series 6 on Oct 5, 2026. Treasure Cars are new in Forza Horizon 6 and separate from the Barn Finds, which return from earlier games.

Sources: regions from PC Gamer (Rory Norris), May 15, 2026, updated May 18, 2026; class from Playground's car list, read Nov 3, 2026; the 2CV from Playground's Series 6 post. None of the ten is sold in the Autoshow; the list gives "Treasure" as their only source.

The nine regions named here are nine of Japan's ten (see Regions); the tenth is probably Legend Island. PC Gamer's guide gives each car's spot in more detail than this page does, with its own video. No reliable source read for this page gives the 2CV's location.

How do Mei's photo clues work?

A clue is a photograph of where a car lies, sent by Mei; the player matches it to a place on the map and drives there. Playground says Treasure Cars are found "by exploring the map", not from markers. The first clue, for the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T in Minamino, arrives after the first Wristband, and the others follow it. Knowing the Japan Map and its Landmarks helps to read a photo.

Since the Series 3 update on Jul 13, 2026, a Treasure Car can no longer be removed from a player's collection.

The Treasure Map add-on

Playground sells a $2.99 Treasure Map on Steam (Nov 3, 2026) that reveals the exact locations of Bonus Boards, Barn Finds, Regional Mascots, Treasure Chests and Treasure Cars. It is in no edition, not even Premium, and is sold on its own. Nothing about it changes the cars themselves: it saves the search.

Treasure Cars and Treasure Hunts are different

The weekly Treasure Hunt in the Festival Playlist is a chest, not a car: in October 2026, for example, a chest in Takashiro paid 100,000 credits, 5,000 XP and three Season Progress (PC Gamer, Oct 15, 2026). See Collectibles.
