Customization and Liveries

Forza Horizon 6 lets players change body kits, rims and paint and design liveries, now also on windows for the first time in the series; it adds over 100 new rims, gloss to matte finishes with metal flake and candy paints, and Paint Body (Advanced) since Sep 2026. Forza Horizon 6 lets players change body kits, rims and paint and design liveries, and for the first time in the series liveries and decals can go on a car's windows. Playground Games added over 100 new rims, with different rims allowed front and rear, paint that switches between gloss, semi-gloss, matte and metallic with new metal flake and candy colors, and body kits from Liberty Walk, Rocket Bunny and Origin Lab. Since the 2025 McLaren W1 arrived on Sep 10, 2026, Paint Body (Advanced) options paint individual parts of a car. Body kits

Playground added body kits for select new-to-Horizon cars, and names three tuner brands, Liberty Walk, Rocket Bunny and Origin Lab. Some Aftermarket Cars come already fitted, such as a 2003 Honda S2000 with a Rocket Bunny kit. Later series added more: both of the Series 7 new-to-Horizon reward cars, the 2016 Honda S660 Alpha and the 2025 Citroën Ami, come with body kit upgrades. Playground has not published a full list of cars with body kits.

Rims and tires

Over 100 rims are new, and a car can run different rims front and rear. Tires show cosmetic wear as a car is driven, and every tire but the off-road ones has new tread patterns. The tire type itself, such as Drag Tires, changes grip and PI; see Upgrades and Tuning.

Paint

Color picking is streamlined, and each color can switch between gloss, semi-gloss, matte and metallic finishes; metal flake and candy paints are new, and colors and materials can be saved as favorites (Playground, Mar 20, 2026). Forza Aero bumpers and rear wings paint part by part: the wing's material and supports, the bumper's tow hook. The 2025 McLaren W1, a Car Pass car from Sep 10, 2026, brought Paint Body (Advanced) options to paint individual parts of the car.

Liveries, vinyls and decals

Liveries and decals can be painted on windows for the first time in the series, a feature Playground calls much requested. More premade vinyls carry in-world branding, such as PI class logos and Wristband icons, and further decals are Collection Journal rewards (Playground). Series rewards also bring liveries: Series 7 sends every player a 25 Years of Xbox and Halo livery for the 2025 GR GT Prototype (see Cover Cars).

Importing vinyls from Forza Horizon 5

Vinyls made in Forza Horizon 5 can be brought over, but Forza Support's known-issues page, last updated Oct 28, 2026, lists that at most 252 vinyls import. It is listed as a known issue, not a design limit, so it may change. See Known Issues and Fixes.

Sharing designs

Players can search for and download liveries other players have made, see and download them at Car Meets, and share garage layouts. On PS5, from Jan 26, 2027, all user-generated content is shared across platforms. Two fixes since launch: the Series 4 update stopped buying a car at a Car Meet from also unlocking its livery, and a hotfix on Aug 24, 2026 stopped anyone from downloading and editing others' vinyls.
