Aftermarket Cars
Aftermarket Cars in Forza Horizon 6 are secondhand cars parked on driveways and roadsides across Japan, often discounted and sometimes modified or rare, that can be test driven and bought on the spot. A dealership by the Horizon Stadium in Shimanoyama changes its stock with each series.
Aftermarket Cars are secondhand cars parked around Japan in Forza Horizon 6, which the player can test drive or buy on the spot; Playground Games calls them "always affordable" and says they include "extremely rare and unique cars". They are new in Forza Horizon 6. They are usually discounted, matched to the player's campaign progress, and some carry upgrades, tuner body kits or Forza Edition status. An Aftermarket dealership beside the Horizon Stadium in Shimanoyama changes its stock with the monthly series, and some series fill it, or a Car Meet, with cars that are otherwise Wheelspin-only.

How do Aftermarket Cars work?
They are parked in the open world. Playground's car culture post places them in three kinds of spot: some near the Horizon Festival, others along the roads of Japan, and cars that match a Festival race's restriction often parked nearby with a map icon, which saves a trip to the Autoshow before an event. Those near Time Attack Circuits come with track-day modifications. What is on offer follows the player's progress (Playground, May 15, 2026), and Xbox Wire's pre-release preview (Apr 8, 2026, a pre-release build) described them as time-limited, with its writer buying a Dodge SRT Demon parked next to a Drag Race (Xbox Wire).
TechRadar's review singled the feature out for praise (TechRadar, May 14, 2026).
Named Aftermarket Cars
Playground's examples before launch were a 2003 Honda S2000 with a Rocket Bunny kit, a 1993 Autozam AZ-1 with Mazdaspeed parts and a 2015 McLaren 570S Coupe with Duke Dynamics modifications; the tuner brands it named are Liberty Walk, Rocket Bunny and Origin Lab.
Three Forza Edition Cars come only as Aftermarket Cars on Playground's list, as of Nov 3, 2026:
| Car | Class |
|---|---|
| 1973 Mazda RX-3 Forza Edition | B 600 |
| 1994 Mazda MX-5 Miata Forza Edition | S2 850 |
| 2022 Subaru BRZ Forza Edition | A 700 |
Red Bull priced the MX-5 Miata Forza Edition at 450,000 credits (Jun 22, 2026) and ranked it tenth among the Fastest Cars.
The Shimanoyama dealership and its takeovers
The Aftermarket dealership by the Horizon Stadium in Shimanoyama is rebranded for some series:
- Italian Exotics takeover, Series 3 (Jul 16 to Aug 13, 2026): six cars that are usually Wheelspin-only, the 1984 Ferrari 288 GTO, 2012 Ferrari 599XX Evolution, 2019 Ferrari F8 Tributo, 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento and 1999 Lamborghini Diablo GTR.
- British Automotive Takeover, Series 5 (Sep 10 to Oct 8, 2026): the usually Wheelspin-only 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera and 1961 Jaguar E-type, and a test drive of each week's 20-point Playlist car.
- Behind the 7-Eleven, Series 6 (Oct 8 to Nov 5, 2026): not the dealership but a limited 7-Eleven Car Meet in the Nangan region, where 14 Aftermarket cars spawned, including the 2008 Mazda Furai, 2010 Lexus LFA, 1998 Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR, 1995 Nissan NISMO GT-R LM, 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B-STi Version, 2017 Ford GT and 2021 Porsche Mission R.
These takeovers are Playground's "Evolving World" changes that arrive with each series (launch post). Playground's Series 7 posts of Nov 2, 2026 announce no Aftermarket takeover for City Life. More on each series is on Updates and Series.
Are Aftermarket Cars the cheapest way to get a car?
Often, by Playground's account, since they are typically discounted, but Playground has published no prices or discount rates, so a given car may cost the same or less in the Autoshow or the Auction House. Other cheap routes: the three starter cars and three first-Wristband cars are free, Wheelspins give random cars, and the Festival Playlist gives ten reward cars each series. See Free Cars and Loyalty Rewards and How to Make Money. In the clip GamingBolt (May 15, 2026) calls their prices notably cheaper.
