Free Cars and Loyalty Rewards

Forza Horizon 6 gives free cars to every player: three starter cars, three at the first Wristband, ten Festival Playlist rewards each series, Series History Rewards and occasional gifts such as the 2021 McLaren Sabre. Owners of earlier Forza games get up to six loyalty cars, from a 2013 SRT Viper GTS to a 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE.

Forza Horizon 6 gives every player free cars from the start: all three starter cars, a 1989 Nissan Silvia K's, a 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 and a 1970 GMC Jimmy, then three more at the first Wristband. After that, the Festival Playlist hands out ten reward cars every four-week series, lifetime Playlist Points unlock Series History Rewards, and Playground Games has twice gifted a car to everyone. Owners of earlier Forza games also get loyalty cars, one per game owned, once they finish the Tokyo City introductory race with Mei: six cars in all, from a 2013 SRT Viper GTS for the first Forza Horizon to a 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE for Forza Horizon 5. The pre-order Ferrari J50 is not free: it came with buying the game early.

Starter and Wristband cars

At the Horizon Festival, Mei lets the player choose a first car from three, but "All three cars will be added to your garage". The first event, the Horizon Invitational, is driven in a 2020 BMW M2 Competition. Winning the first Wristband brings three more from the Festival organizers.

The cars unlock after the Tokyo City introductory race with Mei. Playground's car list marks five of them "Loyalty" but not the Mercedes-AMG ONE, which it lists only under the Autoshow and Wheelspins as "2021 Mercedes-AMG Mercedes-AMG ONE"; Playground has not explained the difference. All six can also be bought in the Autoshow or won from Wheelspins, so a player without the older games can still own them. Playground has not published how ownership of the older games is checked. In the clip Dec Games (May 18, 2026) notes they cannot be used in the campaign until much later.

Festival Playlist reward cars

Each series lasts four weeks, one Japanese season per week, and gives two overall series reward cars plus two seasonal reward cars a week, ten in all. They are earned with Playlist Points from the week's events and challenges, after the first Wristband. Since the Series 7 update on Nov 2, 2026, the cars cost fewer points: the overall rewards dropped from 80 and 160 points to 60 and 120, and the seasonal ones from 20 and 40 to 15 and 30, "based on community feedback", so players without the game's online content can earn them more easily. The current series' cars are on Series 7: City Life; every series is on Updates and Series.

Series History Rewards

Lifetime Playlist Points, counted across every series, unlock exclusive cars. The first is the 1972 Mazda Cosmo 110S Series II at 500 lifetime points, from Series 3 (Jul 16, 2026), with the achievement "Historic Effort"; the second, announced with Series 6, is the 1973 Lamborghini Espada 400 GT at 1,100 lifetime points. Playground had named no third as of Nov 3, 2026.

Gifts from Playground

Cars that are not free

The pre-order bonus for any edition was a pre-tuned, exclusive Ferrari J50, listed as "2017 Ferrari J50 Preorder Car" at S1 800; Ferrari built ten J50s for its 50 years in Japan. A stock 2017 Ferrari J50 (S1 772) is in the Autoshow and Wheelspins for everyone. On PS5, any pre-order before Jan 26, 2027 also gets the pre-tuned J50, added after the prologue. The two "Partnership DLC" cars on the list, the 1962 Peel P50 Trolli Edition and the 1965 Toyota Sports 800 Fanta Edition, are labeled add-ons, but Playground has not said how they are obtained or what they cost. Paid packs are on Car Pass and VIP Membership and Welcome Pack.
