Forza Horizon 6's landmarks are real places of Japan that you can drive up to, discover and photograph for the Collection Journal: Playground names Shibuya Crossing, Ginkgo Avenue and Tokyo Tower in Tokyo, Nachi Falls with its red shrine, Ruriko-ji Temple, Hirosaki Castle, the fishing town of Ine, the thatched village of Shirakawa-go, the Irokawa Space Center and the Daikoku meet spot. Discovering 10 landmarks earns the achievement "Pin It!". Because the Japan Map is interpretive, each sits far from its real position. Playground has not published a complete landmark list or count as of Nov 3, 2026.

Tokyo landmarks
Downtown Tokyo City has Shibuya Crossing, Ginkgo Avenue and Tokyo Tower, and a pre-release race route ran through Ginkgo Avenue and Shibuya Crossing. Ginkgo Avenue is a calm, golden pocket a short drive from the crossing; Playground has spelled it "Ginko," "Gingko" and "Ginkgo." Daikoku, the real meet spot, is one of three permanent Car Meets. More on Tokyo City.
Nachi Falls
Nachi Falls is Japan's tallest waterfall, with a 133-meter drop, and the red Kumano Nachi Taisha Grand Shrine stands in front of it. Art Director Don Arceta: "You can drive right up and around it." An XP Bonus Board hides behind the falls and an Aftermarket car waits along the river below. Photographing the "Temple of Nachi Falls" did not award Collection Journal photography points until Series 6 fixed it on Oct 5, 2026.
Ruriko-ji Temple and Hirosaki Castle
Ruriko-ji is a Buddhist temple known for its five-story pagoda, adapted so that cars can reach it; Arceta: "We're always trying to be as respectful as we possibly can." Hirosaki Castle, black and white, is ringed by sakura, and its cherry trees are among the only trees in the game you cannot smash, on the advice of cultural consultant Kyoko Yamashita. Both are part of the tourist collection that Mei's Day Trips lead you through; see Horizon Stories.
Ine and Shirakawa-go
Ine is a fishing town on Japan's northern coast, with its funaya boathouses on Ine Bay, wooden houses and koinobori, and roads built for views across the water. It has a player house for sale and a story mission nearby. Shirakawa-go is a village of thatched farmhouses in the Ryohaku Mountains, home of the Shirakawa Circuit, one of the six starting events; the race changes with each season, and the roofs carry heavy snow in winter. See Seasons and Weather.
Irokawa Space Center
The Irokawa Space Center, in Nangan, is where the prologue's jump watches a rocket launch. It holds a Horizon Rush course, the Irokawa Space Center ¼ Mile Drag Meet strip, and the Irokawa Launch Danger Sign. Design Director Torben Ellert, on why it is there: "I'm a giant space nerd." The English Xbox Wire tour of May 18, 2026 writes "Urakawa"; every forza.net page and the achievement list write "Irokawa," used here.
