How do you unlock houses in Forza Horizon 6?
Houses open with the seven Stamps of Discover Japan, the exploration path earned through mascots, murals, landmarks, Day Trips, Street and Touge Races and Jobs. Playground says Stamps unlock Player Houses, Barn Find Rumors and The Estate. Once a house is unlocked, you buy it with Credits. The first purchase comes early: after the first Stamp, Mei asks you to visit the Yashiki House, her grandparents' abandoned home, and buying it unlocks The Estate. Ways to earn Credits are on How to Make Money.
Which house is best?
It depends on what you play. By KeenGamer's account, the Hakusan Mountain Lodge is one of the strongest for general Credit farming, Soko 78 pays off if you buy many Autoshow cars, and the Tokyo House is a strong long-term buy for its daily Wheelspin. KeenGamer's suggested order is the Yashiki House first, then Hakusan, Minka, Fuji Unkai and Soko 78, leaving the Tokyo House for later unless you have VIP and the Vision House for the late game. Two houses, Hakusan and Vision, add an extra garage display slot. Wheelspins are on Skills, XP and Wheelspins. The clip is XBOX ON's tips video of May 14, 2026, which makes the same Hakusan pick.
The Tokyo House and VIP
The Tokyo House is the most expensive house at 3,000,000 CR, and its perk is a free Wheelspin each day you play. VIP Membership includes it free; everyone else can buy it with Credits once it unlocks. See VIP Membership and Welcome Pack and Tokyo City.
Fast travel
Every house is a fast travel point, and fast travel costs nothing in Forza Horizon 6, by Insider Gaming's guide of May 14, 2026. Playground's own Known Issues list, updated Oct 28, 2026, still says fast travel to houses sometimes fails; see Known Issues and Fixes.
Garages
Every house has a Customizable Garage that you fill with props and up to four displayed cars, by Playground's description, and that other players can visit. Layouts can be shared and downloaded. See Customizable Garages.
