Tokyo City
Tokyo City is Forza Horizon 6's capital region and the largest city in any Horizon game, five times the size of Forza Horizon 5's Guanajuato by Playground's count, with Shibuya Crossing, Tokyo Tower, C1-inspired elevated roads, the docks and the Daikoku Car Meet.
Tokyo City is Forza Horizon 6's city region and, in Playground Games' words, "our largest urban area ever": Playground says it is five times the size of Forza Horizon 5's Guanajuato. It is the first region the game sends you to. It packs downtown with Shibuya Crossing and Tokyo Tower, narrow suburbs under telephone wires, docks and industrial districts, and elevated expressways inspired by Tokyo's C1 loop. It is a shrunken Tokyo, not a full-scale one. Since Series 7 on Nov 2, 2026 it has two more permanent races. It is one of the ten Regions of the Japan Map.

How big is Tokyo City in Forza Horizon 6?
Playground's only figure is a comparison: its Jan 22, 2026 announcement and its FAQ say Tokyo City is five times larger than Forza Horizon 5's Guanajuato, and at launch Playground called it the largest urban area in any Forza Horizon game. No area in square miles or kilometers is published as of Nov 3, 2026. Reviewers are clear that it is not life-size: IGN calls it "a distilled and shrunken version" of Tokyo. Art Director Don Arceta called it "the most three dimensional, layered, overlapping, and overall authentic urban area" the studio has built.
Districts
At the Developer_Direct on Jan 22, 2026, before release, Playground described three kinds of Tokyo: suburbs of narrow streets under overhead telephone wires; docklands and industrial areas of cranes, freighters and brutalist buildings; and downtown, with Shibuya Crossing, Ginkgo Avenue and Tokyo Tower. The May 18, 2026 designers' tour adds Akihabara, the busy technology and entertainment district, and Daikoku, a calmer area near it. Ginkgo Avenue is a golden, green pocket a short drive from Shibuya Crossing. Playground has spelled it three ways ("Ginko," "Gingko," "Ginkgo"); this page uses the latest.
Roads: the C1 and the Hot Wheels tech
Tokyo City's roads are inspired by the C1 loop, Tokyo's inner expressway ring, and its elevated, stacked roads were built with help from the tech behind Forza Horizon 5's Hot Wheels expansion, as Playground explained at the reveal on Sep 25, 2025. IGN describes multilevel ramps and freeways over the metro and industrial areas, and a multilevel car park by the docks. The Rainbow Bridge is the westernmost of the city's few bridges, on its southern coast, and the "Rainbow Bridge Descent" has appeared as a Festival Playlist challenge.
Races and events in Tokyo
The Tokyo City Docks host a Horizon Rush, one of the timed obstacle courses that earn Wristbands; see Showcases and Horizon Rush. The game's Mech Showcase ends with Chaser Zero stomping toward Tokyo. Night Street Races run through the city; see Street Races and Touge Battles. A race route through Ginkgo Avenue and Shibuya Crossing was shown before launch.
Some reviewers wanted more. Pure Xbox, which scored the game 90, wished for more new race and event types, especially in Tokyo. Series 7 "City Life" answered in part on Nov 2, 2026 with two permanent Tokyo City routes, the Edo Circuit Road Race and the Shuto Charge Street Race. Series 7 also put 15 Gashapon Machine collectibles at Daikoku in its second week, which earn the Halo Shield Recharge Car Horn. See Series 7: City Life. The clip is HokiHoshi's Series 7 summary of Nov 2, 2026, made before the two routes went live.
The Daikoku Car Meet
Daikoku, modeled on the real Tokyo meet spot, is one of three permanent Car Meets, with the Horizon Festival Site and the Okuibuki parking lot. Meets have no events or entry requirements: you park, show your car, look at others', download their tunes and liveries and start a Convoy. See Car Meets and Drag Meets.
Tokyo houses
Two of the eight player houses are in Tokyo City, by KeenGamer's guide of May 18, 2026. The Tokyo House costs 3,000,000 CR, the most of any house, and gives a free Wheelspin each day; VIP Membership includes it free. Soko 78 costs 980,000 CR after the Purple Stamp and cuts Autoshow prices 5%. See Player Houses and VIP Membership and Welcome Pack.
Tokyo Resident achievement
"Tokyo Resident" asks you to complete 33 activities in the Tokyo City Region, for 20 Gamerscore. Playground does not list which activities count. The region's Treasure Car is the 1991 Nissan Figaro. Other city achievements are on Achievements.
