Forza Horizon 6 passed 6 million players within days of its May 19, 2026 launch, as Playground announced on the Forza Horizon X account and KitGuru reported on May 25, 2026; that count covers Xbox, PC and Game Pass together. On Steam alone it reached 302,645 concurrent players over its first weekend, per SteamDB as Gamereactor reported on May 25, 2026, nearly four times Forza Horizon 5's Steam peak of 81,096. Microsoft has not announced how many copies it has sold, and Playground has given no player total since 6 million, as of Nov 3, 2026.

How many people play Forza Horizon 6?

The only official total is the one Playground posted in the first week: more than 6 million players, "Forza Horizon 6? More like Forza Horizon 6-Million!", across Xbox, PC and Game Pass. Reports put the post around May 21, 2026; the post itself was not read for this page. "Players" is not sales: anyone who played through Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass counts.

About 10 days after launch Playground added that players had spent more than 141 million hours in the game and driven over 20 billion miles. A higher figure for early access, "over 1.4 million players", came from a fan's count of the in-game leaderboard, as KitGuru reported on May 19, 2026; it is not Playground's number.

Windows Central said the launch day figure was the highest for any Xbox Game Studios game on Steam at the time, leaving aside Activision and Bethesda games. SteamDB's chart, read on Nov 3, 2026, dates the all-time peak of 302,645 to May 24, 2026, the first Sunday after launch; from late August to early November the daily peak stayed between about 15,000 and 35,000, with the highest days on Thursdays, when each week's Festival Playlist season begins. For comparison, Forza Horizon 5 peaked at 81,096 on Steam and Forza Horizon 4 passed 70,000 in June 2024 after its delisting was announced.
