Forza Horizon 6 is Verified on Steam Deck, unlike Forza Horizon 4 and 5, which are only Playable. It is also optimized for the Xbox ROG Ally and Ally X, plays on Windows handhelds through Xbox Play Anywhere, and streams through Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Forza Horizon 6 is Verified on Steam Deck, running under SteamOS through Steam with default settings; Playground notes that Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Horizon 5 are rated only Playable. It is also optimized for the Xbox ROG Ally and Ally X, and a digital copy bought on Xbox or the Microsoft Store plays on Windows 11 handhelds through Xbox Play Anywhere. Phones, tablets and other devices can stream it through Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Steam Deck

Playground announced the Verified rating on May 12, 2026, a week before launch, for play "at launch on May 19". Verified is Valve's top rating: the game works with the Deck's controls and screen with no changes. It is a step up for the series, since Forza Horizon 4 and 5 are only Playable there. The Steam version needs a Microsoft account and an internet connection on the Deck as on any PC, and saves cross to Xbox and PS5 through that account (see Game Pass, Cross-Play and Cross-Save).

2:14 Playground has published no Deck frame rate or preset, as of Nov 3, 2026. The game's minimum PC tier, Low at 1080p and 60fps, names desktop parts, and the Verified rating says nothing about frame rate. Linux other than SteamOS on the Deck is not supported. The 167 GB install is on PC Requirements. AR12Gaming's May 14, 2026 comparison, recorded before launch, ran it on low settings at 720p and 30fps.

ROG Ally and Windows handhelds

On Windows handhelds there are two ways in. A Steam copy runs as on any PC. A digital copy from Xbox or the Microsoft Store, or Game Pass, plays through the Xbox app with Xbox Play Anywhere, including the Xbox ROG Ally and Ally X, sharing a save and DLC with an Xbox console. Playground named the two Ally models as optimized alongside the Steam Deck news. Xbox Wire's launch-day Game Pass list included the game for "Handheld" play.

Cloud and PlayStation Portal

Xbox Cloud Gaming streams the full game to supported devices; it opened on May 19, 2026 at 6:01am UTC, without early access. On PS5, from Jan 26, 2027, the PlayStation Portal plays it through Remote Play (see PS5 Release Date). There is no Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 version announced as of Nov 3, 2026.
