Time Attack Circuits
Forza Horizon 6's Time Attack Circuits are open-world tracks where you drive through a gantry and hot-lap for your fastest time, earning Credits and XP every lap. They range from road courses to offroad parks, include Hokubu and one on Legend Island, and add temporary circuits such as Edamame, back from Nov 5, 2026.
A Time Attack Circuit in Forza Horizon 6 is a grassroots track in the open world where you drive through the gantry and set your fastest lap, with no loading and no instance, earning Credits and XP on every lap. Your first lap sets your "Current Best", the in-world board shows your best at your car's Performance Index beside your next rival and the global top 3, and you can lap as long as you like. The first one most players drive is Hokubu, one of the six starting events (First Drive, May 15, 2026). Playground added the circuits as a new Shared World meetup for Forza Horizon 6 (features post, Feb 9, 2026).

How do Time Attack Circuits work?
Drive into a circuit's gantry from the road and the clock starts. Time splits show throughout each lap, and every lap pays Credits and XP whether or not it beats your best, so circuits double as a steady earner (How to Make Money). Any car can enter, which makes them the place to try a new build against your own time.
Before launch, Xbox Wire wrote that Time Attack and Drag tracks are filled with ghost cars from real players, friends included, and that billboards show the best times (Apr 8, 2026, a pre-release build). Playground's own posts read for this page do not describe the ghosts, so treat that detail as preview-era.
Leaderboards and resets
Each circuit has two boards. The Convoy Leaderboard shows your group's current best laps in real time; the in-world board shows your best time at your car's current PI, your next rival and the global top 3. Ranking by PI means a C class car competes with C class cars, not hypercars (Car Classes and Performance Index).
When the boards reset is less clear. Playground's Mar 20, 2026 post says both that in-world boards reset each season and that Time Attack and Drag Meet boards reset weekly (car culture post); the Series 4 post (Aug 10, 2026) also speaks of a season. In the Festival Playlist a season lasts one week, so the two may be the same thing; Playground has not said so outright as of Nov 3, 2026.
Which circuits are there?
Playground describes the circuits as running from high-speed road courses to offroad adventure parks but has not published a full list, as of Nov 3, 2026. The ones named in official posts:
| Circuit | Where | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Hokubu | Hokubu region | A starting event; hosted a temporary Car Meet in Series 2 |
| Legend Island circuit | Legend Island | Open to Horizon Legends (Gold Wristband) |
| Edamame | Horizon Stadium | Temporary, mascot-themed; Series 4, back in Series 7 |

Hokubu is Design Director Torben Ellert's favorite. He described it on Xbox Wire as "this wonderful, communal experience" of people on rundown little tracks (May 18, 2026). Xbox Wire's English text spells it "Hokobu"; forza.net writes Hokubu.
Temporary circuits: Edamame
Some circuits come and go with the Festival Playlist as Evolving World features. The Edamame Time Attack Circuit, mascot-themed and set at the Horizon Stadium, first appeared in Horizon Mascot Party (Aug 13 to Sep 10, 2026) and returns for Series 7, City Life, from Nov 5 to Dec 3, 2026. Since Series 6 the Edamame Circuit is also used in Horizon Drift, Spec Racing (B and C) and Horizon Racing (B) in multiplayer.
