Forza Horizon 6 Expansion 1 comes out Jan 21, 2027 on Xbox Series X|S, PC and PS5 at the same time, with a new location, new gameplay and more cars. Its name, setting and price alone are not announced as of Nov 3, 2026; it is in the Premium Edition, Premium Upgrade and the $49.99 Expansions Bundle.
Forza Horizon 6 Expansion 1 comes out on Jan 21, 2027, on Xbox Series X|S, PC (Xbox app and Steam) and PS5 at the same time, the day PS5 Premium Edition early access begins. Playground Games says it adds a new location, new gameplay and more cars. As of Nov 3, 2026 nothing else is official: not its name, its setting, its car list or its price on its own. It is included in the Premium Edition, the Premium Upgrade and the $49.99 Expansions Bundle, and will also be sold separately. Expansion 2 is promised "at a later date".

When does Forza Horizon 6 Expansion 1 come out?
On Jan 21, 2027, everywhere at once. Playground dated it on Oct 8, 2026, in the same post that dated the PS5 version: PS5 Premium Edition owners start playing on Jan 21 and everyone on PS5 on Jan 26, so PS5 players get the expansion on their first day. Playground has not given an unlock hour for the expansion itself. A free content update for all players arrives alongside the PS5 launch and the expansion; Thurrott reports it for Jan 21, and Playground's own post gives no date for it.
Two expansions were promised from the start. When pre-orders opened on Jan 22, 2026, Playground said the Premium Edition would include two expansions, "each introducing a new location to discover", new cars and new gameplay. At gamescom on Aug 20, 2026 it repeated that the first "will introduce an all-new location to explore and much more" (Forza Support).

Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass include only the Standard Edition, so Game Pass players need the Premium Upgrade, the bundle or the expansion alone (see Game Pass, Cross-Play and Cross-Save). DLC is bought per platform: an Xbox or PC purchase does not carry over to PS5. Editions and Price compares the editions.
What is not known
As of Nov 3, 2026, Playground has not announced Expansion 1's name, where its new location is, which cars it adds, how big it is, or its price alone. Its Oct 8 post says only: "Stay tuned for more details about this upcoming Expansion closer to availability." Steam's store page for it shows a placeholder date and no price.
Expansion 2
Expansion 2 has no date; Playground says it comes "at a later date". Thurrott reports that Playground plans it for later in 2027. It is in the Premium Edition, the Premium Upgrade and the Expansions Bundle.
How earlier Forza Horizon expansions compare
Forza Horizon 3, 4 and 5 each had two expansions, Forza Horizon 2 had one, and the first game had a rally pack; most added a new place to drive. Forza Horizon 6's first lands eight months after launch, the same gap as Forza Horizon 5's Hot Wheels (dates computed from the release dates below).
