Drift Attack

Drift Attack is permanent, not an Evolving World event. Drive through the gantry at the Shimanoyama Circuit, with no loading, and score as many drift points as you can over a lap, with Clipping Zones that boost the score. It unlocks with the Yellow Wristband (see Wristbands) and can be played alone, in a Convoy or with whoever is in the Shared World. Playground had previewed it at gamescom on Aug 20, 2026 as a free feature. Finishing it in the Collection Journal earns the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition; Drift Attack has the details, and Series 6 later closed a way to farm its scores. The clip is Playground's live gamescom preview on XBOX ON, Aug 26, 2026, before the mode launched.

Reward cars

Seasonal cars cost 20 and 40 Playlist Points, and each week's 20-point car could be test-driven first at the Aftermarket dealership.

Week Seasonal rewards
Summer 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior, 2021 McLaren 620R
Autumn 2015 Jaguar XKR-S GT, 2021 MINI John Cooper Works GP

Spring 2002 Lotus Esprit V8, 2023 Lotus Emira

The Ginetta G40 Junior later proved too strong for its class: Series 7 retuned it for overperforming (see Best Cars).

The British takeover

The Aftermarket Cars dealership by the Horizon Stadium became a British Automotive takeover, offering two cars usually won only from Wheelspins: the 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera and the 1961 Jaguar E-type. The series also brought a Retro Racesuit and Classic Jacket, the Drift Tire Mascot collectible and the Lionheart badge.

Fixes

Playground's release notes list fixes for misplaced wheels, an audio language setting separate from subtitles, other players' drivers now showing at low PC settings, and better car rendering on PC's High preset. The update also added a live preview for the Environment Colour Filters.
