Wristbands
Forza Horizon 6 has seven Horizon Festival Wristbands, earned in the order Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink, Orange, Purple and Gold. Each one raises the car classes you may race, and the Gold Wristband makes you a Horizon Legend and opens Legend Island.
Forza Horizon 6 has seven Horizon Festival Wristbands, won in this order: Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink, Orange, Purple and Gold. Playground calls the Gold Wristband "the most coveted of them all": it makes you a Horizon Legend and opens Legend Island. You bank Horizon Festival Points from races, PR Stunts, Skills and Horizon Play, then earn each band at a Wristband Event, which is either a Showcase or a Horizon Rush. Each new band lets you race faster car classes. This is the Festival path of the Campaign and Story; the other path, Discover Japan, has its own seven Stamps on Collection Journal and Discover Japan.

The Yellow Wristband
The first band comes in the opening hours. After the prologue and the Tokyo City race with Mei, Mei enters you in the Horizon Qualifiers; you then fill a Horizon Festival Points meter with six starting events in any order, and win the Horizon Invitational in a 2020 BMW M2 Competition, per Playground's starting guide. Winning it gives you a 2022 Toyota GR86, a 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition and a 2024 Ram 1500 TRX, and opens the Festival Playlist (see Updates and Series). Until then, only C class cars may enter Festival events. Wheelspins also wait for this band: Playground says they arrive only after you qualify for the Festival. The Yellow Wristband also unlocks Drift Attack, added on Sep 7, 2026 with Series 5.
How do you earn Wristbands?
Most activities feed the meter in the upper right of the screen. Playground names the official Festival events as Road, Dirt and Cross Country Races, Time Attack Circuits, Drag Meets, PR Stunts and Bonus Boards, and its campaign post adds Skills. Horizon Play counts too: every Horizon Play level up to Level 25 grants Horizon Festival Points toward the next band (see Multiplayer).
Insider Gaming measured some of the small amounts in a May 14, 2026 guide written on review code: 10 points per car photographed for the Horizon Promo, 10, 30 and 50 points for the 1,000, 3,000 and 5,000 XP boards, and 10 points for each new LINK Skill. The same guide suggests lowering Drivatar difficulty, since a win adds a bonus. Treat these as one outlet's pre-launch readings, not Playground's figures.
Once the meter is full, the next Wristband Event appears on the map. Eurogamer's review notes that each new band repopulates areas you have explored with new races (May 14, 2026).
Showcase or Horizon Rush finales
Every band is won at a Wristband Event, either a Showcase Event or a Horizon Rush. The two Showcases are Mech My Day, a race against the giant mech Chaser Zero, and Flight Club. Horizon Rush is new: timed obstacle courses with splits and three-star goals at Tokyo City Docks, Sotoyama Ski Resort and Irokawa Space Center. Both are on Showcases and Horizon Rush.
Class caps for each Wristband
Two caps are published. Before the Yellow Wristband, only C class cars may enter Festival events, and Hypercars are not allowed until at least the Purple Wristband. Playground says each band in between raises the cap, but it has not published which class each of Green, Blue, Pink and Orange allows, nor the points each band needs, as of Nov 3, 2026. Guide sites disagree on both, so this page gives no figures for them. Classes run D, C, B, A, S1, S2 and R; see Car Classes and Performance Index. Street Races, part of Discover Japan, have no class restrictions at all (Street Races and Touge Battles).
The Gold Wristband and Horizon Legend
Earning all seven bands makes you a Horizon Legend. Legend Island is reserved for Legends and holds the Legend Island Circuit and the Colossus, the longest Goliath in the series, which loops the whole map on the freeway; Playground suggests R class cars for it. Legends can also enter The Trial, the weekly co-op Festival Playlist event, which returned with Series 2 on Jun 18, 2026. Reviewers compared the structure to the 2012 original Forza Horizon, as IGN and Eurogamer did on May 14, 2026.
How to get Wristbands fast
- Do the starting six events first. They are the quickest way into the Festival and to Wheelspins (Playground).
- Lower the difficulty for wins. Settings change at any time, and Insider Gaming says a win pays more than a loss (Drivatars and Difficulty).
- Play Horizon Play early. Its first 25 levels count toward Wristbands (Playground).
- Bank Skills and PR Stunts while you drive between events. Both count, and a LINK Skill with other players earns more (Skills, XP and Wheelspins).
- Follow the golden path if you want to. It is optional; Design Director Torben Ellert told Xbox Wire that "freedom is a core design pillar for us" (pre-release, Apr 8, 2026).
